Is this church directory free?

Yes. Every listing is free to browse and free to add, with no account and no email required.

How were these churches chosen?

Two ways, and we would rather be exact about it. Some describe on their own site how they preach, verse by verse or expositionally, and those words are quoted on their listing. Others are here because they belong to a confessional denomination, which tells you what they hold to but not how any given Sunday sounds. Every website was checked by hand. This is a short list rather than every church there is, so one missing from it has not been judged, it just has not been added yet.

How do I add or correct my church?

Anyone can add a church, and no verification is needed to be listed. To edit the details you confirm you are from the church using an email address on its website domain or a church inbox approved by Protos. Returning representatives use an email sign-in link.

How do I find a church near me?

Search a town, a country or a tradition in the box above, or use the near-me button, which sorts by distance once churches in your area have added their address. You can also tap a country on the map to jump to its churches.

What does confirming a listing change?

Every listing is shown in search from the moment it is added. Confirming lets someone from the church add the service times, the address and a description in their own words, which are the details a visitor actually needs and the ones we will never invent.
